Open Studios Oslo 2024: showing my work from my studio OsloOpen 2024

The artist is currently represented by the art gallery Art Nou Mil.lenni (Barcelona).

He is a member of the Norwegian Association of Independent Artists (NFUK, regional coordinator for the Oslo group), the Norwegian Visual Artists Association (NBK/Norsk Billedkunstnere), the Association of Visual Artists in Oslo (BO/Billedkunstnerne i Oslo) and the Norwegian Drawing Society (Tegnerforbundet).

He has his artistic education from California Lutheran University (USA), the National College of Art and Design in Oslo, and Strykejernet Art School in Oslo. He was also associated with Can Serrat International Art Center near Barcelona during the foundational phase from 1991-2001.

Mr Engberg's artwork asks us the question: "Behind objective reality is a different world; a world that often presents itself to us through dreams and other enlightened states. What happens if we dare to lift a bit on the metaphysical veil, the thin film, to see what lies behind it?"

With a clear reference to Surrealism, the artist shows us magic landscapes, raw emotions and absurd situations playing out on the two dimensional surface.
